Cotonomy is a grassroots movement to put the public in control of advertising.

PLEASE NOTE: We are only inviting people to download the app who connect with our vision and mission because to make this succeed requires people with the passion for change and patience to see this change through.

We are inviting you to join us to change advertising so (1) the public can reclaim their personal privacy and (2) the public is empowered to build an economy better aligned with their priorities and values.

This is the vision for advertising that Cotonomy seeks to build with you:

(1) every time a person receives an ad they are paid for receiving it. We want the only people to profit from advertising to be the people receiving the ads. We want to end the financial incentive other companies now have for destroying our personal privacy.

(2) each individual controls which companies can advertise to them. Each individual has the power to block any company who he/she does not wish to receive ads from.

(3) each person controls when ads appear in their life. We want to end the constant uninvited intrusion of advertising in our life. We want all advertising to be contained within the Cotonomy app so each individual can choose for themselves when to view ads.

(4) each person controls all their personal information and only he/she gets to decide what is shared with businesses so ads are relevant. Every member is anonymous so no advertiser can use their information to contact them outside of Cotonomy.

(5) we want all ads to be highly relevant to the recipient so that ad viewing respects the viewers time and attention. It also does not waste the money of the advertiser by sending ads to people who have no interest.

PLEASE NOTE: We are just getting started building our user base so please have expectations for both the app and activity that reflects the start of this movement.
